Hello Jefferson Families,
🌼 Happy May Day! 🌼 We are officially heading into the final stretch of the school year and coming up on the finish line. This is a busy and important time, and we appreciate your continued support in helping students stay focused, engaged, and ready to finish strong!
📊 Panorama Survey
Monday, May 4
Students will be participating in the Panorama Survey. This is an opportunity for students to share their experiences and help us continue improving our school community.
💜 Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! 🎉
We encourage students and families to take a moment to recognize and thank our amazing JMS staff for all they do each day to support students.
🏃 Track Sign-Ups
Track season is here! If your student is in the 7th or 8th grade and is interested in participating, please make sure they sign up on final forms. Registration is open till May 8th. It’s a great way to stay active, build friendships, and show Jaguar pride!
🏫 Incoming 6th Grade Night May 13
We’re excited to welcome our future Jaguars! More details will be shared soon, but mark your calendars if you have an incoming 6th grader.
📝 MAP ELA Testing Schedule
Our ELA classes will be completing important assessments over the next few weeks. Please help your student come prepared, be present on testing days, and come well-rested with a good breakfast so they can do their very best!
  • Mr. Ferro & Ms. Mazaherian — May 5 & 6
🧠 SBA State Testing
  • ELA SBA: May 20 & 21
  • Math SBA: June 3
These assessments are an important opportunity for students to show their learning. Attendance, rest, and a healthy breakfast make a big difference in student success, and we appreciate your support during testing season!
🏫 Capital High School Sports Info Night
May 7 | 6:00–7:00 PM

Incoming 9th grade families are invited to learn more about athletic opportunities, requirements, and how to get involved in high school sports.

School Store Volunteer Sign-Ups
Lend a hand at the School Store on Fridays: 12:00–1:00 PM or 1:00–2:00 PM. We need some help in the Student Store for the last remaining weeks of school. Yes, it is almost summer (can you believe it?!) and we need your help these last sweet Fridays! This is your chance to see your Jaguar in the wild! If you've been meaning to come in and check it out, now is the time. It's fun and it's easy.
